Time and again, my students and customers tell me they learn better visually. Thus, the best learning tools are videos you can play on your PC, so that you can pause and reproduce exactly what you are seeing in your own copy of the software. Even better, my videos are yours to replay as many times as you need and even come with the same sample files I use in the videos. One of my customers, after only a few weeks of getting her Klic-N-Kut and purchasing my video package, was designing with success! Check out this post: Papillon Digital Designs

So, wait no longer… get started understanding and mastering your software! If you prefer to download the videos, then go to this link: Downloadable KNK Studio Videos

To save money, purchase the same videos on CD. Note that you may download the CDs immediately after purchasing, if you prefer! I will create a private folder for your convenience.

    Sandy,
I have my KNK machine on order. Now, since I know nothing about this, I want to try to shorten my learning curve. Do you have a “package” of videos for a beginner. Or a discount for multiple videos. What would you suggest that would show me the basic skills needed to get started?

    Thank you.
    Caryn

  2. Sandy McCauley says:

Congrats on ordering your KNK, Caryn. I sell all of my videos for $99. You get a single link and several weeks to download them all. Or I can mail the CD to you for an additional $5. I can send you a Paypal invoice if you are interested. Just email me to let me know. :)

  3. I want to know if I can use your rhinestones software with silhouette and how much is your rhinestone software or KNK?

  4. Sandy McCauley says:

Yes. You can use KNK Studio GE to design rhinestone patterns to cut on the Silhouette. The cost is $139 plus shipping. If you are interested in a KNK machine, then send an email to sales@scrapbookdiecutter.com and specify your postal code and which machine you would be interested in ordering. They can then provide you a quote. Note that Accugraphic is closing at noon on 7/2 for their annual one week summer vacation.

    Hello Sandy-

I am looking forward to attending your retreat in San Diego come October. Because vacation becons and taking the KNK Maxx along is not possible, IS it possible to learn the software without the machine? If all your videos were ordered and studied, along with just the KNK software on the computer (which is going on vacation) would one be sufficiently prepared come class time in October?

    Thanks much!

  6. Sandy McCauley says:

Yes, you’ll be fine! We’ll have enough KNK’s there for sharing and then the rest will be focussed on the software. I will let you know which videos are important to watch beforehand to be prepared for the retreat. You do not need to order them all now… some of them are given away as part of the retreat. :)

  7. Elizabeth says:

Sandy, one more question , please.

The ability to scan a drawing or import a non vector file, or draw free hand; then transpose this into a file that can be cut (such as a stencil, etc.) is something I’d really like to focus on. Would you recomend a specific disk for that, or should I wait for the class? Thanks again!

  8. Sandy McCauley says:

I would recommend the two videos at the top of the Downloadable Videos page. They are called Manual Tracing 2 and AutoTracing for KNK DM ACS.

    HI Sandy
I was wondering whether you could advise me how to fill in letters when using a pen. I usually get a double layer letter and need to get the pen to actually fill in the blanks between the letters. on my computer screen it looks filled, but when it prints there are gaps between –

    many thnx
    regards
    shamela ;p)

  10. Sandy McCauley says:

    Hi Shamela,
Under the Banner Fill settings, you need to either increase the percentage overlap OR decrease the Pen Diameter. Both will result in the marks being made closer together. I usually will just start with a small circle (~1/2″ in diameter) and do some tests on scrap paper until I’m happy with the fill.

I am not really sure if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your great job is clearly identified. I was wondering if you offer any subscription to your RSS feeds as I would be very interested and can?t find any link to subscribe here.

  12. Sandy McCauley says:

There’s a Subscribe tap along the top. Try that! :)
