Need some inspiration? Check out the Team KNK blog where talented KNK owners present never-before-published creations made with their cutters. New projects are posted several times per week.

I just finished reading (or in some cases skimming) the whole document, trying things out that sounded interesting. I even went back and read some things that I had skimmed before (because I "already knew them") and learned new things. I normally hate manuals, but really, you are very talented. You should offer to write for Microsoft Server products. 🙂 It sure would make my job easier.

Hello, I purchased a Zing Klik ‘n Kut some years ago and used it only sporadically. I am trying to get back to using it now, only to find that the software will not work with my current Mac OS version (Sierra, 10.12.6). Is there newer software that will allow me to use my cutter???

Hi Chantelle, None of the cutting programs are transferrable to new owners. This isn’t KNK USA’s policy but rather a typical terms of use by most software companies. The new owner should look into buying Sure Cuts A Lot 5 since it’s the best option and quite affordable at $59.99 USD. It’s loaded with designing options, far easier to learn than KNK Studio, works on both Macs and PC’s, and it updated frequently. I’ve also written user manuals for this program and there’s an excellent video classroom that she can purchase as well. Here’s a link to SCAL’s home page:

    I need some help.
I sold my KNK Maxx and the new owner is having trouble registering the software seeing that the product keys have already been used twice before.

    What now? Please help

Hi Janet! Don’t fret… worst case you’ll only need to buy a different software program to use with your Zing Air. You can test out MTC first using the instructions in the Zing Air with MTC UM. Check out other tutorials on my Zing Air support page in case your Mac is running newer versions. Worst case, switch to Sure Cuts A Lot 5 which has a TRUE Mac version, is up-to-date with current Macs, and will work great with your Zing Air… I was using mine just last week on my Macbook Pro. SCAL5 does cost $60 but could be well worth it in the long run because it has more functionality than MTC and, again, is up-to-date whereas MTC hasn’t been update in 5 years. Also, I have written a user manual for the Zing with SCAL, too. Here’s my support page:

HELP! I am afraid I made a poor purchase. I have a Zing Air, new in the box, but I have a Mac . I have searched and the instructions for installing all seem quite old. Is it possible to get this installed and useable on a Macbook pro?

The video is made and uploaded to the SCAL 5 Classroom. It’s at the bottom of the Tracing section/chapter.

My mistake! When I first made the 5.02 video, I had full intentions of using the German Shepherd photo later on in a video on the Mask option in SCAL5’s tracing window. Apparently, I forgot to do that! But not to worry, I will gladly make a video showing exactly how I did that. I noting your email and will let you know when it’s ready. So sorry for spacing out the fact I had said I would use it “down the line.” If there’s anything else I can help with, please let me know.
