I want one! please tell me where i can find a great deal. THanks. Looking to order today.
Sandi,
Presently using Inkscape and Silhouette SD. I make lots of my own stencils from my drawings to stick onto glass for sand-blasting. Am thinking of up-grading to MTC – and a sturdier die-cut machine, hence, getting info on the Zing.
How thick a vinyl, in Mils, can the Zing cut? The Silhouette will do 3 – 4 mm only.
Thanks
BTW Love all of the work and info on your sight.

Hi Patricia,
I’ve only tried thin magnetic material myself. But I know that the Zing could have handled thicker. If you want to mail some samples to me, I’m happy to test for you first. You can contact me at smccauley45@cox.net.
Hello,
I’m in the market for a new die cutting machine. I have been using the cricut ever since it came out. Will the Zing cut and emboss metal? I saw you used the embossing folder in the picture book but can you emboss with an embossing tool instead of the embossing folders? I’m use to the crict and there software to place my scaps all over the mat and place my image on the mat where I wanted the image to cut. I didn’t have to set the blade it was all automatic. Will the MTC/Zing do the same thing with the WYSIWYG??? Do you know if it is a big learning curve coming from a Cricut user?
Thanks for any help you can provide. Oh and how long does it normally take to ship? It seems like people where waiting weeks for it to arrive. But I didn’t know if that was because it was new.
Thanks again.
Chiquetta
The Zing will cut VERY thin metals but emboss or engrave most metals. If you can easily cut the metal with a craft knife, then the Zing should be able to cut it. If you would like someone to test your metals, let me know.
Yes… we have an embossing tool now and it can be used to emboss soft materials. The engraving tool can also be used on metals.
You do need to set the origin for your cuts, but note that this is part of having a FAR wider range of functionality than you have with your Cricut. It only takes a day or two of practice and then it will become second nature to you.
The Zings ship same day or next day when ordered on a weekday. The number of days is based on where you live relative to Orlando, Florida. Since our second shipment arrived in December, no one in the US has had to wait.

I just purchased a Cameo, which I love. (Getting ready to sell my Imagine, Expression, E2 and about 100 cartridges!)
However, I’m in the market for a machine that can cut magnet sheet material .030 in (.76199 mm). Is the Zing capable of this thickness? Or should I be considering a different machine?
I just successfully cut 0.02″ magnet sheet material for a prospective buyer. If you would like to send me a sample of the 0.03″ I will be happy to test cut it, as well. I’ll email you.
