The older KNK Element cannot use the Zing accessories or blades, so definitely do not purchase those.

The blades that you will use in the original silver blade holder are listed here:

http://knkusa.com/?page_id=8&shopp_category=18

Note that with the Fabric Blade you need the cap on your holder that has the larger diameter. So, first measure that diameter to the nearest mm and let me know what it is... IF you are interested in buying the fabric blade. I will get KNK USA to see if they still have the replacement caps.

Yes, I still offer phone classes. :) Just click on the Shop tab and you'll see the pricing. Note that I'm also in the process of making more MTC videos, as well, to cover a range of topics. These videos are linked from within the Zing User Manual or you can find them in the Support section of this site, as well.

I am interested in purchasing the Zing- but because I am technically challenged I have downloadedthe MTC software to see how I do with it and have already run into problems with doing the most basic stuff.
I want to make sure that you still offer phone classes.
Thanks! Kathy

KNK Maxx 15" for Sale

$650 plus shipping (I paid $1060 for it.)

It is just over 2 years old and in excellent condition. I want to purchase a 24" cutter, but need to sell this first.

Comes with the extension tables, a 13" x 24" mat, 2 blade holders, a couple of cd's that came with it (free cutting files, lots of fonts, a cd to show how to run the machine). 2 new red blades, 2 new blue blades (I would send a can of the spray for the mats, but I don't think I can ship that).. As far as the software goes, I already used the activation # for the KNK Studio. I found it very complicated and use MTC now. I think a new activation fee can be purchased for $75 or I would suggest using MTC (Make The Cut) which can be purchased for around $58. MTC has a great support forum.

If interested, contact me at cbauer50@aol.com

Silhouette deliberately modified their files to prevent anyone without a Silhouette from being able to use them. Prior to about a year ago, you could purchase their files in GST format which would import into KNK Studio. But they changed them all to a format that will only open in their Silhouette Studio. Those with other cutters have been doing screen captures of the images and then auto-tracing in KNK Studio or Make The Cut (or other programs) with great results. The only files that do not work well are those with very tiny intricate paths. But the majority of the images do very well with this method.
